What's the difference between Zoom Rooms and Meetings? Zoom Meetings is the standard video conferencing platform from Zoom, whereas Zoom Rooms is the exclusively business-facing version, which integrates with third-party video conferencing hardware and offers additional features, like one-click meetings and multi-share.

Simply put, unless you have an in-demand conference room at your office, you can safely stick with Zoom Meetings. Is Zoom secure? Despite some pandemic-related hiccups earlier this year, Zoom has done a great job on security. For one, they now offer end-to-end encryption for all users , so you can be sure your information is safe and secure.

They've also added waiting rooms, so that hosts can be sure only the desired participants are allowed in the meeting. Is Zoom Free? Yes, Zoom is free for individuals! Zoom offers their Basic plan completely free of charge, which comes with a lot of the same features found in the paid plans, including virtual backgrounds, breakout rooms, and improved security. Who is a licensed Zoom user and who is a participant?

A licensed Zoom user is the host of a meeting that owns a Zoom account. This person has different controls than Zoom participants, allowing for them to manage mute, pin, and other functionalities throughout the meeting, for guests. The participants are the invitees in the meeting, and do not have the same controls as the host and licensed user. Is Zoom better than Skype? In our opinion, yes, Zoom is better than Skype.

Zoom offers truly unmatched ease of use when it comes to video conferencing solutions, and Skype can be a bit of a mixed bag, particularly when it comes to audio and video quality. Zoom also offers a number of great features — like breakout rooms and virtual backgrounds — which you simply cannot find on Skype or most other video conferencing software, for that matter. If the offerings of the basic Zoom plan do not meet your needs, you have several paid plans to choose from. Remember, Zoom is offered internationally, so pricing may vary by region. It is targeted towards small team collaboration. You are still limited to hosting participants maximum, but group meetings can last for up to 30 hours. Developers can show information here about how their app collects and uses your data. Learn more about data safety No information available. Bluetooth issues galore! If you join a session then connect your Bluetooth you have to leave and rejoin the app for the audio to work on headset.

It's a nightmare especially when taking calls in the car and trying to switch to the headset later. So are you saying schedule the Zoom webinar and put that event link on Calendly or EventBrite? Thanks for the info. So I'm actually recommending "one or the other", and based on the fact that you're doing one webinar with 17 or so people one time, my recommendation would be to use Eventbrite for registration and payment, and to use the feature in Eventbrite that links the Eventbrite registration into your session.

Which brings me to this point: You said you want to see everyone, and you also said you want to have a Webinar. So maybe you want a Meeting instead -- which is where everyone naturally sees everyone else. There is a way in a Webinar to see everyone -- by making everyone a "panelist", which while do-able, is just a little unusual, and also doesn't really get you any better features than a Meeting.

And then one caveat: Eventbrite isn't a trivial platform, and if you haven't used it before, you might want to consider a simpler approach -- one that doesn't require you to come up to speed on Eventbrite first.

We can discuss what that simpler approach might be, if that's your preference. Calendly is a great tool I use it! But it's not really applicable to the "many people in a webinar or meeting" situation. Hopefully that's more helpful than it is confusing. If you'd like more in-depth help with this, let me know and I'll send you a Direct Message with my contact information, and we could have a minute Zoom meeting to discuss some of the details.
